Congratulations to Samantha Edwards Crowned Ms. Wheelchair Iowa 2010
Samantha Edwards, 22, of Marshalltown, Iowa was crowned Ms. Wheelchair Iowa 2010 on Saturday, March 27th in Iowa City, Iowa.
Samantha has a AA degree from Marshalltown Community College and is currently working on her BA degree at Iowa State University, with a major in journalism and mass communication with a minor in sociology.
Samantha's platform is to create positive perceptions of people with disabilities in the media by talking about awareness regarding issues that affect people with disabilities but also other current events. She states, "You don't have to always talk about disability issues to be a positive influence."
Samantha will compete in August at the national Ms. Wheelchair America Pageant that will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan the week of August 9-15, 2010.
